Ambiga Sreenevasan practices as senior counsel in a wide array of civil, commercial and corporate litigation matters. She has vast experience in commercial, intellectual property and industrial matters. Ambiga is also a well known human rights advocate and has received several international awards for her work in this field. She was a member of the Institutional Reforms Committee, which was set up to advise the government on reforms needed to key public institutions. Ambiga has led several organisations in the past decade. She was president of the Malaysian Bar (2007-2009), former chairperson and then co- chairperson of Bersih 2.0 (2010 to 2013) and former president of the National Human Rights Society (Hakam) (2014 to 2018). She is currently a Commissioner of the International Commission of Jurists.
