Head of Marketing
My primary areas of interest are education, culture-building, and mental health. I'm fascinated by the human experience, especially how our past and social surroundings shape our present identities and behaviour. I spent a year in college teaching refugee children part-time, was a primary school teaching assistant during university, and began my career working for two years in an education NGO. I observed that classroom culture - often lead by the teacher - is a massive determinant of a child's ability to feel secure, engage, and learn - a parallel that I believe holds true for community culture as well. During both depressive periods in my adult life, I received mental health support from professionals and community members that aided in my recovery. I owe a lot to the counselors, therapists, and friends who have helped me, and believe everyone should have the support they need to get back on their feet.
